National Institute for the Deaf (NID) Water Security Project - Worcester

The National Institute for the Deaf Water Security Project was recently started to serve as a practical experience component for the deaf students enrolled in the accredited AgriSETA Plant Production programme at the NID Training Centre. Processed vegetables is also sold to the public.

  • Direct beneficiaries of this project includes 127 on-campus students, 57 adults with multiple disability, 34 elderly Deaf persons, 206 learners at De la Bat School for the Deaf as well as persons residing on NID campus, staff and visitors.
